Upon Arrival at the Hospital:

C. Inform staff immediately that you have Parkinson's and require medication at specific

times.

D. Self-Administration: You may take your own medication in the Emergency Department

before admission, but you must inform the staff first.

E. Medication Verification: If your medication isn't on the hospital's list, staff will send your

original bottle to the pharmacy for verification and re-labeling.

F. Confirm Your Schedule: Ensure the hospital pharmacy creates a personalized schedule for

your medication to be given on time (within a 15-minute window).

G. Escalate Issues: If you encounter problems with the medication protocol, ask for Chief

Nursing Executive, Brenda Cadorette, to be notified at 413 395 7875.
